Welcome to Black History Month 2019. We are thrilled to offer programming and engagement that celebrates the impact of the African Diaspora on New York City. Join us for an adventure that starts now and will continue after February 28th. We have historic walks, talks, an exhibition, a lot of fashion, and more.
Black History Month | Programs
The Black Gotham Experience team is thrilled to have four Brooklyn-based projects lined up for the winter and spring of 2019. We are working with Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, Brooklyn Museum, BRIC, and The Old Stone House in Brooklyn on a series of artistic and historic storytelling ventures that seek to engage creatives who make, live, or lived in Brooklyn; Fort Greene specifically for one of the projects. Most of the programming will take place during Black History Month making for an extended set of time to create an ecosystem of ideas you won’t want to miss. We have an Open Call out if you are interested in participating.
