Black Vision Day Brunch

The Black Vision Day Brunch is a gathering to celebrate community and vision. Based on the “Black Vision Day” Holiday created in 2021 by Black Gotham Experience and friends, we ask the question “What is your Black vision for New York?”. Share your vision over soulful bites and mingle with established and budding cultural leaders. Similar to our King Brunch in January, the menu will include pastries and savory offerings of fish, chicken, and vegan options. Coffee, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks will be included.

Buffalo Sonnet Art Work

Limited Edition Set of 15 Signed Comic Book Pages

13” x 19” signed digital prints on cotton paper

$5,000 each set

On February 27th 2024, Kamau Ware, Founder of Kamau Studios and Black Gotham Experience premiered a digital comic book titled Buffalo Sonnet commissioned by Lincoln Center for their Legacies of San Juan Hill project. It has been considered “groundbreaking”.

Buffalo Sonnet opens with a timeless African medicine woman who shares a prayer with Black people living in the New York City neighborhood San Juan Hill in 1922. This sonnet is offered for generational healing to children of the African Diaspora suffering from displacement and violence. The story follows two main characters – a young boy named Paint and a mother of three named Barbara.
