15 Years of remembering together…
BGX Members are the heart of our community. We began our membership in 2018 to extend and deepen the connections with people enjoying our programs and make it possible to directly support our work. In 2025, Black Gotham Experience reached 15 years of existence and we have reflected on our membership program. In the past couple years, we have mounted more robust exhibitions and completed our special Council 400 project commemorating the African Diaspora’s impact on the territory of New York City. We work with more organizations and businesses around the world and see an opportunity to connect our journeys. For 2026, we aim to strengthen our vibrant learning community of individuals and organizations remembering together, rooted in lessons from the African Diaspora.
All of our membership levels still include (1) access to our award-winning BGX Walks, (2) access to monthly BGX Pedagogy meetings, (3) invitations to special previews of exhibitions at BGX Gallery.
